Today’s post is inspired by another thread in our Private VIP Area for our FREAK customers!

This time, fellow trainer Joe Meglio sparked my creativity when he helped an athlete come up with this SUPER FAST breakfast idea:

  • Microwave oats (about 2 minutes)
  • Stir in protein powder
  • Add nuts or fruit
  • DONE!

I’m going to build on that and give you 4 more 5-minute breakfast ideas.

  1. Chocolate Covered PB & Banana 
  • 2 scoops chocolate protein powder
  • 2 TBSP natural PB
  • 1/2 Banana
  • 1/2 C oats
  • Water
  • Ice
  • Blender
  • Mix everything in the blender and enjoy!
  1. Power Sandwich
  • 2 Pieces of Ezekiel Bread lightly toasted
  • 1 slice (grass-fed) cheese
  • 2-3 slices low sodium deli-sliced turkey breast
  • 2 whole eggs scrambled
  • Spinach
  • Scramble 2 eggs while your bread toasts and then pile all the ingredients onto your homemade Power Sandwich!
  1. Healthy “Pop Tarts”
  • 2 scoops whey/casein blend protein (you can do this with plain whey but the consistency will be runnier & you’ll need less liquid)
  • 2-3 slices Ezekiel Bread
  • 2 TBSP almond butter
  • 1 TBSP cocoa nibs (optional)
  • Drop your bread into the toaster and mix protein powder, cocoa nibs, almond butter, and very little water into a cake-batter consistency. When toast is ready, top each piece with the protein-almond butter mixture.
  1. Eggs & Rice
  • 1 C pre-cooked rice or 1/2 Packet Uncle Ben’s Minute Rice
  • 5 whole eggs
  • Frozen broccoli
  • Crack eggs in a pan and start scrambling. Microwave your frozen veggies (and rice if needed). When eggs are finished, scrape into bowl with rice and veggies. Simple as that!

So there you go, 5 ways to have NO EXCUSES, and get your day off to a healthy and nutritious start!
