Josh Mantz is a West Point graduate and former Major in the United States Army. He’s a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with Valor for wounds received in Baghdad in 2007.

This is also where the the seeds of his current work in moral psychology were first planted.

Among the nation’s leading speakers on psychological trauma, moral injury, and leadership, Josh is the CEO of Asymmetric Mind and is currently pursuing an M.A. (and subsequently Ph.D) in Philosophy, Consciousness, and Cosmology at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, CA.

He is also the best-selling author of The Beauty of a Darker Soul: Overcoming Trauma through the Power of Human Connection.
